Itera signs framework agreement with Instech Solutions
Earlier this summer, Instech Solutions (ITS AS) and Itera signed a framework work agreement, which includes support for the development and management of the INS+ marine insurance solution.
The new collaboration will help strengthen Instech Solution’s market position and delivery capacity. Eventually, opportunities for a strategic cooperation across the whole range of Itera’s disciplines will be considered.
Headquartered in Bergen, Instech Solutions is the world’s leading software developer in the global marine insurance industry. INS+ is a complete marine insurance system used by insurance companies and brokers worldwide. Instech Solutions is a subsidiary of Norwegian Hull Club, a leading marine insurance association with members and clients worldwide.
Effective and interdisciplinary cooperation
The collaboration is in line with Itera’s growth plans in Western Norway, as well as the focus on new sectors. Itera will establish a Nearshore development team, which will build expertise on maritime insurance and Instech Solutions’ technical solutions during this autumn. This will form the foundation for an effective and interdisciplinary cooperation going forward.
– Initially, we will establish a collaboration related to support the development and management of key solutions, and Itera will be an integral part of Instech Solutions, says Odd Hafid Khalifi, Director Strategic Accounts & New Markets in Itera.
– This means that we will build expertise related to critical solutions that are currently used by maritime insurance companies worldwide, including Norwegian Hull Club, Skuld, AON, Groupe Siaci Saint Honore and Cambiaso Risso. Later, we will look at the opportunity to expand to other disciplines within Itera’s service offerings, Khalifi continues.
– We hope this is the start of a long-term and strategic collaboration with Itera. This will give us exciting opportunities to further develop our solution, and we hope to be able to integrate more services from Itera in the future, says Ole Jørgen Eikanger, CEO of Instech Solutions.
